The 27th Annual Awards Dinner on June 10, 2010 was a tremendous success with a total sale of 350 tickets, and it also marked the 30th Anniversary of the Northside Leadership Conference organization! We awarded 14 scholarships to recent graduates and recognized 15 volunteers for their outstanding commitment. Steel City Boxing Association also won an award as our Service Provider of the year. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the official “Northside Fedora” to Pittsburgh City Council President, Darlene Harris.

The Dinner is a celebration for residents and community leaders on the Northside. This celebration commemorates the accomplishments in economic and residential development, and neighborhood planning which occurred in the Northside throughout the year.

Congratulations to our Pirates Raffle Winner -Ed Brandt, recently retired Executive Director of the Brightwood Civic Group. Ed won a luxury box for 15 people and $500 in food and beverages for a Pirate Game of his choice this summer. Special thanks to the Pittsburgh Pirates for this wonderful donation.
