Amenities and Attractions
Named for its hilly topography and natural underground springs, Spring Hill has a panoramic view of downtown Pittsburgh. The community offers its residents a variety of attributes. Its private location, low crime rate, abundant greenery, and value of tradition all translate into a desirable area for families to raise children and for the elderly to live securely. Visitors are frequently amazed at Spring Hill's secluded, verdant beauty and many remark that they were not even aware of this bedroom community nestled high on the hilltop. These amenities, coupled with the glorious views of the Pittsburgh region, add to the attractiveness of the community and make it a favorite site for firework-viewing throughout the year.

A Neighborhood with Character
Neighbors have worship opportunities at Holy Wisdom Catholic Parish and St. Michael's Chapel, ELCA. The business sector of the community consists of Hamm's Market, a corner grocery store, Cookie Cutters, a beauty salon, ESB Bank, Brady's Memorial Home and Sky-Vue Terrace, as well as residents who work as independent contractors from their homes. Spring Hill School, a public elementary school, provides educational opportunities for the young families of the community.

Community Involvement and Pride
Residents participate in the community in a multitude of ways. An active neighborhood group, the Spring Hill Civic League, interacts with city government to maintain the community, as well as organizes year-round activities for the families of the community. The Easter Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Commemoration, Halloween Parade, and Christmas Tree Lighting all provide opportunities for neighbors to join in community fun. Children's sports teams and a community ballfield are maintained through the efforts of the Spring View Athletic Association. The Steel City Boxing Organization offers disciplined boxing and youth mentoring throughout the year. Senior residents have two social groups to participate in, Spring Hill Seniors and Seniors From Spring Hill. A community newsletter, the Spring Hill/Cityview Gazette is published bi-monthly.
