Oliver High School
For the fourth year, the Northside Leadership Conference has enjoyed partnering with Oliver High School in an innovative Career Exploration Program called Start on Success. This program works with high school students grades 9-12 to prepare them for the world of work. Conference staff serves as the Head of the Employment Network and helps to identify Northside employers to serve as mentors to high school youth. The Conference also works with program graduates to place them in full-time jobs. This partnership has received statewide recognition and was selected to present at the PA Partners Workforce Development Conference.

Paint Your Heart Out Pittsburgh
Over the past four years, the Paint Your Heart Out effort has helped over 25 Northside senior citizens spruce up their homes. This program, affiliated with the United Way, helps to paint the homes of low-income senior citizens. This year, through efforts organized by the Conference, over 50 volunteers painted a total of 6 Northside homes. Volunteers includes individuals from Triangle Tech, Allegheny General Hospital, Northside Leadership Conference Staff, and Lewellen Painting.
